BioWatt is excited to announce the completion of our latest development project – Deal Farm Biogas!
Deal Farm Biogas will be an agricultural by-products, crop and manure biomethane-to-grid project located near Diss in Norfolk. The feedstock will be largely pig and poultry manures and bedding, straw and purpose grown crops suitable to the local area.
In completing the deal, BioWatt has sold 100% of our interest in the Project Co. to Storengy (UK) Ltd who will provide all the investment required to deliver the plant and associated infrastructure. Deal Farm represents the first investment of this kind in the UK biogas market for Storengy.

In addition to state of the art digestion/ upgrading technology, the plant will benefit from a best-in-class distributed digestate storage system, automating the delivery of valuable, pasteurised organic solids and liquids to remote lagoons and offtake points – thus reducing traffic and transport impacts. The pasteurisation of the digestate will add value through the guaranteed destruction of seeds and pathogens.
