The latest construction land-mark on our project in Somerset – the x2 100 tonne capacity feed hoppers going in. These walking floor systems will allow us to dose-feed material overnight and long weekends on an automated, continuous basis.
The 50,000 tonnes per annum renewable natural gas (RNG) plant is due to commence operations in October and inject it’s first renewable molecules into the gas network in November – making enough RNG to supply the whole of Wincanton Town’s gas needs!
“While watching the site coming out of the ground is exciting – there’s nothing like seeing the mechanical and electrical components being installed to drive home just how soon we will be bringing this plant into operation”
Georgi ZLATEV, CTO at BIOWATT FM.
The project continues to run with minimal delay in programme (owing to the very wet winter and spring experienced); and the Operations Team is very much looking forward to getting onsite for training and developing the various safe systems of works and controls that will bring this project to life.
