BioWatt Facilities Management Limited Appointed to Support Construction Management for New RNG Facility in North Northamptonshire.
BioWatt Facilities Management is proud to announce its appointment as the construction contract and project management partner for VIDA bioenergy’s latest renewable natural gas (RNG) facility in North Northamptonshire. This follows BioWatt’s involvement in the successful financial close of the project, marking another milestone in our growing portfolio of sustainable energy infrastructure developments.
VIDA bioenergy, a subsidiary of global energy infrastructure leader VTTI B.V., aims to become one of Europe’s foremost biomethane producers, with active projects across the UK, Netherlands, and Poland . The North Northamptonshire facility is designed to produce nearly 70 GWh of RNG annually, sufficient to heat over 5,000 homes, by injecting clean biomethane into the Cadent gas network .(VIDA bioenergy)
BioWatt’s role encompasses comprehensive project management services, including daily site coordination, progress reporting, and interface management across all work packages. The company has also facilitated the project’s HAZOP review and detailed design processes, providing specialist technical advice to ensure seamless execution.
This project builds upon BioWatt’s successful management of a 50,000 tonnes per annum (67 GWh per annum) RNG facility in the South West, which commenced operations in February 2025 . BioWatt’s dedicated construction and development team leverages an in-house developed, cloud-based project, document, and contract management platform, enabling real-time collaboration among contractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Since 2015, BioWatt has developed 10 biogas projects, facilitated the acquisition or due diligence of 5 additional projects, and managed the construction of 5 more AD plants across the UK.
